Anytime an All-Time Winner at Penn State
October 29, 2012
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Penn State University is a campus in constant flux. With nearly 100,000 students, the college frequently replaces its seating and is always looking for a way to update its style. Procurement at the university has worked with dealer Supply Source, Inc. over the years to update and change seating at the college. For renovation of the Moore Building, which houses the Psychology Department, the department was looking for seating for everything from the conference rooms, to computer labs and study areas.
Jennifer Peck at Supply Source, Inc. began working with the college, determining its priorities. Budget was key. Anytime fit the bill.
WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE?
Penn State’s goal was to find versatile, customizable chairs at a great price. Because Supply Source, Inc. is a trusted source, the university went with their recommendation and had sample chairs brought in for a sit test. Both Anytime and Social came out winners – Anytime as a versatile solution for lounges and classrooms and Social, with its clean design, as an office side chair.
The university decided to go with neutral and black fabrics to match the interior design they had in mind for the building. The ease of customization with SitOnIt Seating meant that the university could personalize seating without extra cost. With the students away, the university moved in the new chairs in July, 2013.
There are always projects ahead at Penn State. The college has already chosen SitOnIt Seating for a number of projects because of the quality and expert sales reps who help with pricing. And because SitOnIt Seating works within budget, everyone from the architect to facilities can breathe easy.
